Power of being organised

A good system shortens the road to the goal. - Ralph Waldo Emerson

Being organised has so many benefits. This seems so simple that sometimes it is hard to believe that it can have profound impacts on the quality of your life. Some major benefits of organised life include:

1.       It will give you greater peace of mind

There are no unnecessary distractions. You can focus on what really matters in your life.

2.       Your health improves

There is less stress in your life. You are able to deal with issues from the state of calm. As a result, you will be able to make healthier choices that support your highest good.

3.       You become more productive

As you have your life more organised, you are able to focus on your tasks and be fully present. This will help you complete your tasks in quicker and create more free time to focus on the activities that bring your joy.

4.       Your will feel empowered and energised to purse your dreams

When you are organised, there is no unnecessary waste of your time and energy. You will be inspired to pursue your dreams.

Now we know some of the major benefits of being organised. But how do we really get there? We will list some of the main steps to help you on this journey.

1.       Write it Down

There are many tasks that we need to do. It can feel overwhelming as we think how much we have to do. But if we write it all down, we can stay calm and focus at one task at the time.

2.       Make your own timetable

With many tasks to do, we need to know when and for how long we should do these. We all have 24 hours in a day.  Make a schedule for your tasks and allocate the time to do each task.

3.       Be consistent

Procrastination will stop our momentum. You need to keep following the steps to complete your tasks. And do one task at a time.

4.       Put things where they belong

In other words, you need to give everything a home. Just as you do with your time when you schedule your activities and tasks, you need to do the same with the things that are important to you. Everything you use regularly should have its own place where you can easily find it.

5.       Declutter Regularly

You should only keep what you really need. Give away what you do need. It may serve someone who needs it more than you.

6.       Stay Away from Bargains

There is nothing wrong with wanting to get a bargain. But we don’t need to overdo it. It is easy for this to get out of hand. And we can accumulate so much that we do necessarily need. This drains our energy and our financial resources.

7.       Delegate Responsibilities

Focus on what is important to you. Harness your talents. But delegate those less important tasks so you can dedicate your energy to where it matters the most and where you will get greatest results.

8.       Work Hard

Focus on what is important. List your tasks in the order of importance. And then you need to keep working until you finish the task. Give it your best.
